On behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Indonesia, it is my honor to invite you to the International Conference on Islamic Youth Education (ICIYE) and I am delighted to inform you that we are currently open for the first registration phase. We have two periods of registration, the First Phase (August 14th – August 25th 2017) and the Second Phase opens on August 30th – September 8th 2017.
International Conference on Islamic Youth Education is held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the auspices of Deputy Minister of Youth Empowerment and OIC Youth Indonesia fully supported by The Institute of Democracy and Education (IDE) Indonesia
This year, we are taking theme “Reviving Islamic Education to the modern world; a lesson learned from Indonesia”.
This International Islamic Youth Education Conference aims to facilitate youth from 57 OIC members countries to discuss a number of issues related to Islamic Education and the well-being of youth in Islamic countries. Its first part discusses how the religion of Islam constructed the status of youth, their wellbeing and the roles of families and the society in general. The role of youth on achieving SDGs through Islamic education and integrating SDGs with the Islamic values. The second, this conference discusses how education developed over the centuries to meet the needs of the evolving multi-ethnic Muslim society. It also discusses the post-colonial educational systems of Islamic countries and how they could integrate Moral/Religious education in their schools’ curriculum.
The outcomes of this conference that the participants understand and bring ideas how Islam succeeded to revolutionize the views held regarding the status of youth, their rights, education and well-being when they finish the program in Indonesia. In addition, these conferences also emphasize the woman empowerment at OIC Countries. The participants enhance their religion and culture, expand their educational level, strengthen between families and youth ties, and establish non-violent methods for peace, institute integrity, and work for better future during the program. The program will utilize Islamic philosophy, education and training, and will also be active in our community by unifying youths.

This year’s ICIYE will be held on the 5th-9th of October 2017 in West Java, Bandung at Merdeka Building. The participants will stay at Grand Preanger Hotel, Bandung.
This forum will bring together key stakeholders from the OIC Youth Countries, academic, government, non-government, United Nations, development banks, business and civil society to ensure that education is prioritized in sustainable development policies and planning on a global, national, regional and local level. This forum also announcing “World Youth Declaration” that committed to combat culture ignorance, and xenophobic.
It is free and fully funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Indonesia.
